The Pithy Take

The Detroit Institute of Arts Museum has one of the largest art collections in the U.S.–it has collections spanning from ancient Egyptian and European works, as well as an impressive research library and archives. It also houses the incredibly impressive murals by Diego Rivera, composed in fresco style, called Detroit Industry, or Man and Machine. The museum also features Detroit-centered exhibits–a wonderful place to go for a stroll, a date, or a family trip.
