Much of System 1 – your more primal, reactive self – is about feelings. And sometimes you feel something without being able to name it, which can be frustrating, especially for children.
In My Heart is a lovely little book that goes through various feelings and explains what they feel like, and if they don’t feel good, how you might go about feeling better. A warm, colorful book that will be meaningful for years.
On harder days, mean words hurt my feelings, and
my heart feels hurt too. It’s fragile and delicate, but
it can be healed with extra kisses. This is when my
heart is broken.
